Water Hydrant Flushing Maintenance
Flushing water hydrants and having routine water main maintenance is an important procedure when it comes to a community’s safety.  It’s necessary to flush water hydrants in order to test that there is adequate water flow and pressure.  Flushing is also done to remove any sediment from the pipes in order to maintain water clarity and quality in the distribution pipes.  From now through December you may see Water Utility personnel in various areas releasing water from hydrants Monday thru Friday 7am to 4pm, the expected completion date of the maintenance is December 31st.   Read more…

Email Hi-Jacking & Scams

All email users should be aware of Email Scams.  There are many email scams, but recently the most popular scam has been requests for Email Users passwords and other confidential information.  Reedsburg Utility would never request confidential information from you through email.  If you think you are receiving suspicious email notify us immediately.  Another form of email scams are Email Hi-Jacking, an email hijacker will use your email address and contact information to route spam emails to other email addresses.  If you have been a victim of email hijacking please contact our office immediately. 768-1000

RUCLS is currently experiencing an increased volume of complaints concerning blocked, rejected, or delayed mail due to spam and virus activity.

We are working to implement changes on our network, which will allow us to identify these sources of abuse.  In the interim, as well as long term, we ask all customers to ensure your PC is protected with up-to-date security software.

Make sure you're not spamming or infected!  Update and run your security software, which should include both antivirus and spam protection.  You can also download and run these free tools to help combat virus and spam problems (THESE FREE TOOLS ARE NOT INTENDED TO REPLACE YOUR SUBSCRIBED SECURITY SOFTWARE PACKAGE).
